Special Issue Purpose
Formal concept analysis, rough sets, and three-way decisions are prominent theories and methods for data representation and analysis. They have been applied to data mining, machine learning, artificial intelligence as well as many other areas.
This special issue of the International Journal of Approximate Reasoning will provide a forum for scholars studying formal concept analysis, rough sets, and three-way decisions to contribute to theses areas and share their achievements. The editors of this special issue invite authors to submit theoretical and empirical papers on these topics.
Deadlines, Submission and Review Process:
Original submissions are due by July 1, 2019 and should be submitted to IJAR website http://www.evise.com/evise/jrnl/IJA by selecting "VSI: FCA, RS & 3WD" as the article type. All submissions should follow the "Guide for Authors" of the journal. Early
submissions are welcome. We will start the review process once we have your submission. Recommendations will be made as soon as review reports will be received.
Authors of conditionally accepted manuscripts are expected to have further reviews and revisions based on reviewers' comments. Final accepted papers will be published as soon as the final versions are received by the publisher. Therefore, some papers may actually be published before the last deadline (January 31).
Tentative timetable:

Oct 1, 2019. First decision notification
Dec 1, 2019. Submission of 1st revision
Jan 31, 2020. Final version submission
